About Akanksha

Facilitator with 15+ years of experience in learner-centred, inquiry-based education. Passionate about nurturing curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning through meaningful learning experiences.

I am an experienced IB Facilitator with over 15 years of experience in education, having begun my teaching journey in 2010. Throughout my career, I have taken on diverse roles, including Subject Coordinator, Facilitator, and Homeroom Teacher, which have helped me develop a strong understanding of curriculum planning, learner engagement, and holistic education. From 2012 to 2017, I worked with Bansal Classes Private Limited, followed by my association with Victorious Kidss Educares, Pune, from 2018 to 2022 as Homeroom Facilitator. Since 2022, I have been working with 21K School as an IB PYP Facilitator. I have actively participated in numerous SAIBSA and PYP Network workshops, which have enriched my understanding of IB practices, inquiry-based learning, assessment, learner agency, and collaborative professional learning. My teaching philosophy is rooted in learner-centred and inquiry-based education, where I encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and student agency. I strive to create meaningful and inclusive learning experiences that empower learners to become confident, responsible, reflective, and lifelong learners. I continuously engage in professional development and reflective practice to enhance my teaching practice and contribute meaningfully to the learning community.

My journey as an educator began in 2010, and over the years, I have realised that teaching is much more than delivering lessons—it is about inspiring curiosity, building confidence, and creating meaningful connections with learners. What motivates me most is seeing the moment when a learner discovers something independently and proudly says, “I did it!” My experiences as a Subject Coordinator, Facilitator, Homeroom Teacher, and IB PYP Facilitator have shaped my belief that every learner has unique strengths, ideas, and ways of understanding the world. My exposure to IB practices through SAIBSA and PYP Network workshops has further strengthened my commitment to inquiry-based and learner-centred education. I teach because I believe that education has the power to shape not only what learners know, but also who they become. Being part of their journey, encouraging them to ask questions, think critically, take ownership of their learning, and become confident lifelong learners is what makes teaching truly meaningful to me.
