I’m a Mathematics educator with 5 years of experience teaching and supporting learners across different learning environments. Over time, I’ve learned that teaching is much more than explaining a concept clearly—it is about noticing the learner behind the answer. I enjoy creating spaces where children can question, make mistakes, think aloud, and find their own ways of solving a problem. My experience across classroom teaching, online learning, tutoring, and content creation has shaped me into an educator who enjoys blending structure with creativity. At 21K, I’m excited to continue growing as a facilitator and to help learners become not just better at Mathematics, but more confident in how they think, learn, and approach challenges. This reflects 21K’s emphasis on learner voice, inquiry, reflection, skills, and agency.

Somewhere along my teaching journey, I realised that my favourite part of a class was not when a learner got the right answer—it was the moment just before it.

That little pause. The thinking. The wrong attempts. The “wait… can I try another way?” And then suddenly, the smile that says, “I figured it out!”

That is what keeps me teaching.

Mathematics has taught me that there can be more than one way to reach an answer, and teaching has taught me that there can be more than one way to reach a learner. I want my classroom to be a place where children feel comfortable being curious, making mistakes, asking questions, and discovering what they are capable of.

I don’t want learners to remember only what I taught them. I want them to remember how learning made them feel.
