Dr.Teepica Priya Darsini

Dr. D.Teepica Priya Darsini is a Senior Facilitator at 21K British Senior School, where she has served since July 2022. With 20+ years of experience in higher education and international school education, she holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences, specializing in Biotechnology, with expertise in Biology, Environmental Science, curriculum development, research, and learner mentoring.
At 21K, she has facilitated AS & A Level Biology under Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel curricula and currently facilitates Cambridge IGCSE Biology (0610) and Environmental Management (0680). Her teaching practice emphasises inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, critical thinking, real-world application, differentiation, and learner engagement.
Previously, Dr. Teepica served as an Associate Professor of Biotechnology at Karpagam University, where she contributed to teaching, research, academic administration, and department coordination. She also served as a DST (Government of India)-funded Principal Investigator and supervised three doctoral scholars.
At Manchester International School, Coimbatore, she taught Biology for Grades 9–12 across Cambridge IGCSE, Pearson Edexcel, and IBDP pathways, and contributed to IBDP authorization, course planning, and curriculum documentation. Her earlier experience includes teaching Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) under IBDP and CBSE at Chinmaya Residential International School, and Biology under ICSE at Disha – A Life School. She completed an IBDP Category -2 Professional Development Workshop at Tanglin Trust School, Singapore, organized by the IB Global Centre.

Dr. Teepica combines strong subject expertise, research experience, international curriculum knowledge, and learner-centred pedagogy to create engaging, relevant, and intellectually stimulating learning experiences that nurture curious, confident, reflective, and scientifically informed learners.

My journey in education began with a deep curiosity about Life Sciences and Biotechnology. Over the years, I discovered that my greatest fulfilment lies in helping learners develop the same curiosity and wonder about science. For me, teaching is more than delivering knowledge—it is about inspiring questions, encouraging exploration, building confidence, and connecting learning to the real world. My experience across higher education and international curricula, including IBDP, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, ICSE, and CBSE, has strengthened my belief that every learner can thrive when given the right guidance and opportunities. As a Senior Facilitator at 21K British Senior School, I strive to make Biology and Environmental Science engaging, inquiry-driven, relevant, and meaningful. I teach because I believe great educators do more than provide answers—they ignite curiosity and inspire learners to keep asking better questions.
