Preetha Jayan

I am a passionate and dedicated Science facilitator with over 18 years of teaching experience across offline and online learning environments. With an M.Sc. in Chemistry, B.Ed., MHRM, and PGDCA, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and learning. I believe Science is about nurturing curiosity, encouraging inquiry, making real-world connections, and developing critical thinking. I strive to create an inclusive, engaging, and future-ready learning environment where learners are encouraged to explore, question, collaborate, and express their ideas confidently. I enjoy designing hands-on, inquiry-based, and application-oriented learning experiences that foster learner agency, problem-solving, and lifelong learning. My technical skills and proficiency with digital learning tools enable me to integrate technology meaningfully into teaching, assessment, and learner engagement. I am also passionate about sustainability and integrating environmental awareness and the Sustainable Development Goals into learning experiences, inspiring learners to become responsible global citizens and positive changemakers. As an educator and lifelong learner, I value collaboration, creativity, empathy, and continuous improvement, and I constantly strive to empower learners to discover their potential and make a meaningful difference in the world.

My journey as an educator has been shaped by my love for Science, my passion for learning, and, most importantly, the meaningful individual connections I build with each learner. This is my 19th year of teaching, and over these years, I have had the privilege of witnessing learners grow from curious children into confident, successful, well-groomed, and responsible citizens. One of the most fulfilling moments in my journey is meeting former learners and seeing how far they have come in their careers and lives. These moments remind me that the impact of teaching extends far beyond the classroom. I believe in understanding every learner as an individual, recognizing their strengths, supporting their challenges, and creating opportunities for them to discover their potential. With my background in Chemistry, Education, Human Resource Management, and Computer Applications, along with my technical skills, I strive to blend subject knowledge, technology, and innovative teaching practices. I enjoy making Science meaningful through inquiry, hands-on experiences, real-world applications, collaboration, and sustainability-focused learning. “A lesson may last a moment, but its impact can last a lifetime.” This belief continues to inspire me to teach with purpose, connect with every learner, and nurture not just successful learners, but responsible and compassionate human beings.
