About Shehnaz

With nearly six years of teaching experience across India and Saudi Arabia, I enjoy making learning meaningful by connecting everyday experiences with classroom concepts. I love creating a warm and engaging space where learners feel confident to explore, ask questions, and develop a genuine love for learning.

Teaching has been a journey of learning and growing alongside my learners for nearly six years across India and Saudi Arabia, with experience in IB and British curricula. I truly enjoy being a facilitator and creating a classroom where learners feel comfortable, valued, and excited to learn. I love connecting lessons to real life through hands-on activities, stories, questions, and everyday examples because I feel learning becomes more meaningful when learners can see where they can use it. Working with learners from different backgrounds and with different learning needs has taught me the importance of being patient, flexible, and inclusive. My classroom is a place where questions are welcomed, mistakes are treated as opportunities to grow, and every learner is encouraged to learn and grow.
What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing that moment when a learner understands something, gains confidence, or discovers something new. For me, teaching is not just about academics; it is about helping learners develop the skills, habits, confidence, and character they will carry with them as they grow.

Why I teach? I teach because I believe education can shape much more than academic knowledge. It can shape the way a child thinks, communicates, solves problems, works with others, responds to challenges, and sees the world. If I can help a learner become a little more curious, confident, kind, responsible, and willing to keep learning, then I know I have made a meaningful contribution in shaping the future generation.

Shehnaz’s Philosophy

My Philosophy of Teaching & Learning
I believe that every learner is capable of learning, growing, and making a difference when given the right environment, encouragement, and opportunities. My goal is to create learning experiences that are meaningful, engaging, inclusive, and connected to the real world, so learners understand not only what they are learning, but also why it matters.
I believe that education should go beyond academic achievement. Developing skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, reflection, and self-management helps learners become independent thinkers and lifelong learners. I also value the 16 Habits of Mind, as they help learners develop thoughtful ways of approaching challenges, making decisions, responding to mistakes, and interacting with others. Habits such as persistence, questioning, thinking flexibly, listening with understanding, and taking responsible action gradually shape not only how learners think, but also who they become.
I want my learners to leave my classroom with more than knowledge. I want them to carry curiosity, confidence, kindness, resilience, responsibility, and a genuine love for learning with them wherever they go.
