Eligibility Criteria

  • You should have done your Class 10th from an esteemed board.

Admission Process

Applying to NIOS requires using the official website www.nios.ac.in to complete the process. Follow these instructions one after another:

  • Go to the official website for the National Institute of Open Schooling.
  • In the main menu, click on “Admissions” and choose “Stream 1 (Block I or II).” Depending on if it’s the first or second cycle.
  • Sign up by entering your basic information.
  • Enter all your educational, personal and course information in the application form.
  • Upload scanned files online.

  • Between March and September, you can be admitted for Block I (April exams).

Fee Structure

Here is the current NIOS for the 12th class:

  • Male students can pay ₹2600 for 5 subjects (₹940 for each additional subject regardless of gender)
  • Women Students are charged ₹2150 for up to five subjects.
  • SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwD can study 5 subjects for just ₹1690.
  • Topics that have practicals: An additional ₹120 is charged for each subject.
  • Applying online at the official website, the fee is only ₹70.

You can opt for payment methods through debit card, credit card, UPI and net banking.

Study Material and Taking Exams

After being admitted, students can receive their lessons by post or find them as PDFs on the NIOS website. The goal of these materials is to support students in learning concepts with ease.
