Ruchi Ninad Pandit

I am an English Language and Literature educator with over 11 years of teaching experience across middle school, secondary, and higher education, with more than six years of experience in the IB MYP. I hold an M.A. in English and an M.Ed., along with an IB MYP Language and Literature Category 2 certification. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach diverse learners, design inquiry-based and engaging learning experiences, mentor students through personal projects, and contribute to interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives. My teaching philosophy is rooted in curiosity, empathy, critical thinking, and the belief that every learner has the potential to grow in their own unique way. As I step into my new role as a facilitator, I look forward to creating meaningful learning experiences, learning alongside my students and colleagues, and continuing to grow as an educator.

I teach because I believe a classroom is a place where learners discover not only what they know, but also who they are. I remember a quiet student who rarely spoke during discussions. One day, while discussing a story, the student shared a personal connection to one of the characters and spoke with so much confidence that the whole class listened. It was a small moment, but it stayed with me. It reminded me that sometimes, all a learner needs is the right space and a little encouragement to find their voice. This is what keeps me passionate about teaching and about creating classrooms where students feel heard, valued and confident.
