Barnita Hom Ray is an Early Years Facilitator with over 10 years of experience in education and a strong passion for nurturing young learners. With a focus on the Early Years, she believes that children learn best in a warm, engaging, and supportive environment where they feel confident to explore, question, create, and express themselves. Her teaching approach is child-centred and experiential, with a strong emphasis on making learning joyful, meaningful, and age-appropriate. She strives to design interactive learning experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, communication, and holistic development. As a caring and nurturing educator, she values building positive relationships with learners and creating a classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to thrive. Beyond teaching, she enjoys travelling and drawing inspiration from diverse cultures, experiences, and the world around her, which she brings into her approach to learning and teaching.

For me, teaching is more than a profession—it is an opportunity to shape young minds and be part of their first steps towards discovering the world. I chose Early Years education because I believe these formative years lay the foundation for lifelong learning, confidence, and curiosity. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s face light up when they discover something new, overcome a challenge, or proudly say, “I can do it!” These little moments inspire me every day to create a nurturing and joyful learning environment where every child feels valued, heard, and encouraged to explore.
