Learners in the Industrial Training Institute (ITI)<\/strong> tend to learn practical vocation<\/strong>. But they might not have formal academic certificates<\/strong> needed to advance in <\/strong>education<\/strong><\/a>\r\n or even in some job opportunities<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to fill this gap, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)<\/strong><\/a>\r\n, the open schooling arm under <\/strong>the Ministry of Education<\/strong>, India partnered with the Directorate General of Training (DGT)<\/strong> to provide credentialing routes<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under this scheme, ITI students get formal Secondary (Class 10)<\/strong> or Senior Secondary (Class 12) certification<\/strong>. This happens through Transfer of Credit (TOC)<\/strong><\/a>\r\n<\/strong>, counting up to three ITI subjects<\/strong> and only needing two NIOS subjects<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This integrative model encourages academic parity, flexible, cost-effectiveness, <\/strong>and improved employability by vocational learners<\/strong>.
