I am Mrs Harsheen Kaur, a certified and experienced special educator with over 9 years of experience in teaching children with special educational needs (SEN) in school settings across India and Dubai.

My academic qualifications include a Master’s in Psychology (M.A. Psychology) and a B.Ed. (Special Education in Learning Disability) from Punjab University, Chandigarh (India), a Postgraduate Diploma in International Education (PGDIE) & International Baccalaureate (IB) Educator Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Diploma Programme (DP) of IBDP – Psychology from Christ University, Bengaluru (India )& & IB organisation board. I love working with children, am outgoing, hard-working, honest, and passionate about working, educating, and helping differently abled students in aiding them to make better academic progress in accordance with their peers in their class, and I have also attended a lot of workshops (national & international) and seminars on special education and inclusive education to update my professional knowledge.

Harsheen’s Philosophy
I have more than 8 years of work experience in teaching children with special needs in various prestigious schools and institutes of Chandigarh, Bengaluru, and Dubai. I strongly believe in “Inclusive Teaching of Children with Special Needs”. I screen, identify and diagnose the student’s barriers to learning and help them remove their barriers to learning by employing differential teaching methods and if need be provide them support during assessments.
Collaborating with the teachers, parents and other staff members of the school, I create and implement an Individualised Educational Programme (IEP) suiting the learning needs of the students and, if required, provide them intervention, modification and adaptation in their curriculum.
My aim is to sensitise the people towards the difficulties faced by Special needs students so that the classroom atmosphere is positive and conducive for their academic growth.
