About Disha
Grade 1 Facilitator with 15 years of experience in education, committed to creating engaging, inclusive, and learner-centred learning experiences. Passionate about nurturing curiosity, confidence, and lifelong learning in young learners.
My teaching journey spans 15 years across the early years and primary years, beginning with some of the youngest toddlers and growing with learners as they develop their language, independence, social skills, and understanding of the world around them. Over the years, I have worked with different age groups and learning needs, which has helped me develop a flexible and reflective approach to facilitation. I currently serve as a Grade 1 Facilitator at 21K School, where I enjoy designing purposeful lesson plans and engaging learning experiences that encourage learners to explore, question, communicate, collaborate, and make connections with real life. I believe in open-ended communication and building strong partnerships with parents, as meaningful collaboration between the facilitator, learner, and family plays an important role in supporting a learner’s growth. My professional journey has been enriched by continuous learning, professional development, and a willingness to explore new pedagogies, digital tools, and innovative approaches to lesson planning. I value creating a classroom culture where learners feel heard, their ideas and individual strengths are recognised, and every learner is encouraged to grow with confidence.
I teach because I want every learner to enjoy learning, feel excited about discovering something new, and look forward to coming back the next day for more. For me, the greatest joy is creating experiences that spark curiosity, bring smiles, and leave learners wanting to explore further.
