About Shubhada
An experienced Hindi educator and Event In-Charge with 20 years of experience across language, inclusive, and mainstream education. Passionate about learner-centred teaching, innovation, and creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire learners to communicate, lead, and excel.
I am an education professional with 20 years of teaching and educational experience since 2006, with a diverse journey across language education, inclusive education, remedial learning, educational therapy, academic mentoring, and school-wide leadership. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with learners from varied backgrounds, age groups, abilities, and learning needs, which has shaped my belief that every learner has unique strengths, potential, and a different way of learning.
For the past four years, I have been associated with 21K British Senior School as a Hindi Facilitator and Event In-Charge, where I teach Cambridge IGCSE Hindi (0549) and contribute to several academic and co-curricular initiatives. My teaching philosophy is rooted in making language learning meaningful, practical, interactive, and learner-centred. I use approaches such as Total Physical Response, the Communicative Approach, experiential learning, collaborative activities, and digital tools to create engaging learning experiences. Seeing learners become confident communicators, express their ideas freely, and develop a genuine appreciation for the Hindi language is one of the most rewarding aspects of my profession. My learners have consistently demonstrated strong academic achievement in their Cambridge IGCSE Hindi Board Examinations.
Alongside teaching, my role as an Event In-Charge has given me opportunities to plan, coordinate, and lead a wide range of school-wide initiatives, including assemblies, Student Council programmes, Investiture Ceremonies, Model United Nations, Literary Festivals, International Hindi Diwas celebrations, cultural programmes, clubs, educational trips, guest conferences, newsletters, and online and hybrid events. These experiences have strengthened my skills in leadership, collaboration, communication, planning, problem-solving, and managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
My earlier professional journey in inclusive and special education has been equally meaningful. I have worked with hearing-impaired learners and learners with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other diverse learning needs. My experience in remedial education and educational therapy, along with teacher mentoring and parent counselling, has helped me develop a deeper understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive educational practices.
Throughout my career, I have continued to learn, experiment, and evolve as an educator. My contributions have been recognised through the Best Facilitator Award, three 21K R&R Awards, and my selection as a featured educator in “Pathmaker,” the commemorative book launched during Rising Icons 2025–26 by 21K School
For me, teaching is much more than a profession—it is my passion and purpose. I feel blessed to be in a profession where every day brings an opportunity to inspire a learner, discover a new possibility, celebrate progress, and make a positive difference. My goal is to continue creating inclusive, innovative, and future-ready learning environments where every learner feels valued, confident, heard, and empowered to achieve their potential.
Why I Teach
My journey as a teacher began long before I entered the profession in 2006. I grew up surrounded by education, leadership, language, creativity, and service. My mother was a renowned language teacher, Principal, and National Award-winning educator, while my father was a respected advocate. From my family and my own active participation in speech, writing, dance, drama, theatre, student leadership, NSS, and community activities, I developed the confidence, creativity, communication, and leadership skills that continue to shape me as an educator.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to explore many roles—as a language teacher, special educator, choreographer, event organiser, communicator, and facilitator. My husband's frequent transfers also introduced me to different cities, cultures, learners, backgrounds, and educational systems, giving me a wonderfully diverse teaching experience. I am deeply grateful to him for supporting my journey.
Teaching eventually became the place where I could bring all these experiences together and share them with others.. At 21K School, I found the flexibility to continue my passion for teaching while also caring for my family. Today, as a Hindi Facilitator at 21K British Senior School, I strive to make Hindi engaging, practical, and meaningful—even for learners who initially did not want to learn the language. Seeing them participate, gain confidence, achieve strong results, and discover a love for Hindi gives me immense joy.
I believe that education is not only about teaching a subject; it is about discovering potential, building confidence, and creating a ripple of positive change. If I can inspire one learner, and that learner inspires another, the impact continues far beyond my classroom. That is why, after 20 years, I still believe there is no profession more fulfilling for me than being a teacher and facilitator.
