About Syeda

With 4 years of teaching experience and a background in Telecommunication Engineering, I am an enthusiastic Computer Science and Robotics Facilitator who loves turning technology into an exciting learning experience. My journey spans physical and online classrooms, including facilitating learners from both India and the U.S.

I am a passionate Computer Science and Robotics Educator with a background in Telecommunication Engineering and diverse teaching experience across physical and online learning environments. I completed my Engineering in Telecommunication from Visveswaraya Technological University, which laid the foundation for my interest in technology, problem-solving, and innovation.

My teaching journey began as a Computer Science and Robotics Instructor at an ICSE school in Mysore, Karnataka, where I worked with learners from Grades 1 to 8. I introduced young learners to computational thinking, programming, robotics, and technology through age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences. As part of my responsibilities at the school, I was also involved in planning and successfully executing a STEM Fest, where I guided learners in designing and developing interactive, working robotics and technology-based models. These projects included a rainwater detection system, a line-following robot, and a pulse detection system, giving learners the opportunity to apply concepts of electronics, sensors, programming, and robotics to real-world problems.

I later expanded my experience into online education, facilitating learners from the U.S. in robotics, IoT, and technology-based projects. I have worked extensively with platforms and tools such as the Quarky board, micro:bit, PictoBlox, and Tinkercad, guiding learners through projects involving IoT, electricity, electronics, programming, and physical computing. I particularly enjoy creating learning experiences where students move beyond simply understanding a concept to designing, building, testing, troubleshooting, and explaining their own solutions.

At 21K School, I initially worked as a Primary Facilitator for Grades 3 and 4, teaching Computational Thinking and nurturing learners' curiosity through interactive and activity-based approaches. For the past six months, I have been working as a Middle School Computational Thinking Facilitator, where I engage learners with a broader range of Computer Science concepts, including Python programming, pseudocode, algorithms, computer systems and architecture, data representation, logic gates, modelling and data, databases, networks, and digital communication.

Across my teaching experiences, my focus has remained on making Computer Science meaningful, practical, and engaging. I believe learners understand technology best when they are given opportunities to explore, experiment, create, troubleshoot, and communicate their thinking. My engineering background, combined with experience across physical classrooms, online international learning environments, robotics, STEM events, and Computational Thinking, allows me to bring a multidisciplinary and hands-on perspective to Computer Science education. I am particularly passionate about empowering learners to see technology not merely as a subject to study, but as a tool to create, innovate, solve problems, and bring their ideas to life.

My journey as an educator has always been driven by one simple belief: learning becomes truly meaningful when learners get the opportunity to create something of their own.

Syeda’s Philosophy

I believe every learner can become a creator when given the right environment, encouragement, and opportunity to explore.
I believe Computer Science is best learned by doing—through questioning, experimenting, creating, debugging, and solving real-world problems.
I strive to make technology accessible, engaging, and meaningful by connecting concepts to hands-on experiences and learners’ own ideas.
