His path into education followed an earlier 21-year career in the IT industry, where he worked on Oracle Applications implementations across India, Singapore, and the US — an engineering-minded background he now brings into how he structures problem-solving in the classroom
I teach because I believe mathematics is more than formulas — it's a way of thinking that stays with students long after the classroom. I try to spark curiosity first, so understanding follows naturally rather than being memorized. But teaching, for me, is never just about the subject; it's about the whole student. I care as much about their confidence and emotional wellbeing as I do about their grades, and I work to build relationships built on trust and respect. I want my students to grow into responsible, collaborative people who support one another — not just capable mathematicians. And I believe that growth doesn't stop at the classroom door, which is why I stay involved in school life beyond my lessons. Every day I get to help a student see themselves a little differently — that's why I teach
