K-12 schools are generally referred to as K-12 Schools, where K stands for Kindergarten and 12 for Grade 12. The K-12 learning model at '21K' School is flipped to represent the flipped learning model.
K-12 schools are generally associated with the traditional learning model, where learners receive lecture-based instruction from a facilitator in a classroom setting. However, 21K School focuses on integrating knowledge and skills across disciplines rather than teaching information in a silo. This approach promotes 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. In addition, it allows learners to learn at their own pace and tailor their education to their individual needs. This allows them to get the most out of their time in the classroom and follow their passion. As a result, 21K learners are better prepared for the real world and have a more well-rounded education.
Physical Schools have been around for a long time, and it is only recently that we are starting to see a shift to online schools. None of our 7500+ learners study in a physical school, and over 94% of these learners have switched from physical schools to online schooling. Only 8% of the learners were homeschooled before they registered with 21K.
There are many things to consider when deciding whether or not to send your child to a physical school. Some learners may thrive in a traditional learning environment, while others may prefer the flexibility and customisation that 21K School offers. Both options have merits and demerits, and it's essential to consider what is best for your child before making a decision. Some of the benefits of physical schools include social interaction with other learners and the opportunity to learn hands-on. However, physical schools can be inflexible and expensive and, hence may not be suitable for all learners.
21K School offers an alternative that is more affordable and customisable, making it a better option for families. Whatever you decide, we hope that you choose what is best for your child.
There is no doubt that online schooling is fast becoming a mainstream schooling option. Over 94% of learners registered with 21K School have switched from physical school to our online learning platform. This is due to the many benefits that our platform offers in terms of learning outcomes and value for money. Today, most parents have chosen 21K School as their preferred choice of schooling for their children.
We also welcome learners who require flexible and/or personalised learning. Some of our diverse learners include learners with special needs, English language learners, and gifted and talented learners. Our online platform allows us to customise the learning experience to meet the individual needs of each learner. As a result, more and more learners are choosing 21K School as their preferred choice of online schooling.

Our brand identity, "A New Dawn," symbolises a fresh start, where limitless possibilities and transformative learning experiences await every learner.
The deep, trustworthy embrace of dark blue anchors our commitment to stability and reliability, while the golden yellow illuminates paths of hope and discovery, inviting students to explore a world beyond conventional boundaries. With a harmonious blend of modern fonts and hand-drawn iconography, we create a vibrant tapestry reflecting young minds' curiosity and creativity.
This design philosophy is not just a visual identity; it's a promise of a brighter, more connected future, where every learner is inspired to dream, learn, and grow in a nurturing community that values both tradition and innovation.
Our new tagline, "21K School - Where Every Learner Finds Their Path," we are embarking on a purpose-driven shift towards a more learner-centric, adaptive, and future-forward approach. This new direction emphasises:
The Right to Education Act of 2009 prohibits the detention of children until they complete elementary education, which is up to class 8. If a child fails the exam, they will receive additional instruction and have the opportunity to take a re-examination. In exceptional cases, the school has the discretion to detain a child. A discussion with the family will be held to reach an amicable decision that prioritises the learner's well-being.
At 21K School, we celebrate the journey of learning. Our focus is on celebrating achievements rather than competition. Throughout the year, learners actively participate in a variety of festivals and events, including both curricular and co-curricular activities. These include intra-house and inter-house festivals designed to encourage collaboration and engagement. Instead of ranking learners, we honour their accomplishments with our Star Performer status, recognizing those who excel in their pursuits. At the end of the academic year, we present these outstanding learners with certificates to acknowledge their achievements.
The true measure of learning is when learners take meaningful Action—applying their knowledge to real-life situations and demonstrating the skills they have developed throughout their educational journey. At 21K School, we focus on nurturing this ability by encouraging learners to problem-solve independently, think flexibly, and engage in critical and reflective thinking.
Our innovative approach leverages cutting-edge technology, including data analytics and artificial intelligence to track and enhance each learner's conceptual understanding. With our proprietary systems, we provide continuous feedback and close the learning loop at the end of each unit. This approach allows learners to build on their knowledge seamlessly, progressing effectively to new concepts.
Furthermore, our technology ensures that parents stay informed about their child’s progress without waiting for parent-facilitator meetings or report cards. At 21K School, we make sure that learning is transparent, dynamic, and always in focus.
21K School offers its learners access to a digital library. Infobase creates and curates reliable educational resources and digital tools through cloud-based media and learning platforms to suit the needs of the learners. There are a range of stored videos, documents, video clips, links, podcasts, and blogs in one location for easy access. It offers educators the tools and content solutions they need to become more informed participants in their learning environments, classrooms, and society.
Additionally, our facilitators enhance learning by sharing curated reading resources directly with learners, further supporting their academic growth and exploration. At 21K School, we ensure that both learners and educators have the content and tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Physical sports require a certain level of physicality that cannot be replicated online. However, 21K School is collaborating with organisers who make it possible for learners to participate in online sporting events, such as chess. Along with offering such exposure, we conduct online classes for yoga, meditation, mindfulness and well-being. Depending on the child's interest level, learners and parents can register in sports clubs or training centres near their locality. With the flexibility of 21K, it would be easy for learners to follow their passion and interest, be it sports, arts or cultural pursuits. Our learners are also given opportunities to represent the school or participate individually in external events.
We organise in-person Sports Day events across cities, bringing our learners together from various locations to participate in athletic activities and celebrate their sporting achievements.
21K School offers a large number of Capstone courses along with the usual subjects that are mandatory as part of the curriculum you select. The compulsory subjects offered are usually English, Mathematics, Social studies and Science. learners can study additional language (optional) in Grades 1 to 8 by selecting one of the 13 languages taught outside school hours. 21K is evolving every day, and you can expect more from us.
Remedial Sessions are the support extended to learners to cope or challenge the achievement level of the class. These classes are offered to learners who struggle with language issues, are unable to cope with the pace of the class, have difficulty owing to language barriers or are beyond the pace of the class. We have levels of academic scaffolding for learners requiring remedial work. Often these sessions are temporary and driven by the decision of the homeroom facilitator and our own AI-driven learning platform.
By identifying areas where learners need extra help, we ensure personalised support that enables every learner to succeed.
An enrichment class is the support extended to learners who need to be at par with the grade level. A number of learners may lag owing to reasons varying from language barriers, late admissions, individual achievement level etc. This may vary on an individual and/or subject basis. Enrichment classes enable us to address these concerns with the help of facilitators who diagnose the need and recommend them. These sessions also support learners who have extended learning beyond the grade level and need to be challenged.
Experiential learning is a hands-on, learner-centered approach to education where learners engage in activities, reflect on their experiences, and apply what they've learned to real-life situations. At 21K School, experiential learning is delivered through a blend of virtual and real-world experiences. Here's how it's implemented:
Homework is an integral part of the learning process. We ensure that there is a balanced approach between homework and class sessions, maintaining academic rigour without overwhelming learners.
We carefully plan and assign homework on specific days to reinforce concepts taught in class. By engaging with assignments independently, learners deepen their understanding and enhance critical thinking skills.
This structured approach helps learners manage their workload effectively while fostering independent learning and academic growth.
Our curriculum is intentionally designed to foster creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving, effective communication and collaboration, flexibility and adaptability, initiative and self-direction, as well as social and cross-cultural skills. We recognize that in an increasingly socially distant world, these life skills are more crucial than ever.
Through thoughtful class discussions and interactive activities, we actively develop these "Habits of Mind" in our learners. These attributes are integrated into every aspect of our curriculum, empowering learners to navigate complex challenges, think independently, and succeed in a dynamic global landscape. By teaching these essential skills, we equip our learners with the tools to thrive in both their academic journeys and in life beyond the classroom.
Our well-structured learning system, coupled with positive reinforcement from facilitators, cultivates discipline and a sense of responsibility in learners. The support and involvement of parents at home are essential in reinforcing these behaviours. Additionally, the online schooling environment offers a safe and focused space, limiting exposure to negative influences and distractions.
There could be circumstances and instances when the child is unable to complete the homework or projects. As such, we encourage each child to learn and grow at their own pace. At our end, we provide remedial support, follow-ups and counselling to help you overcome any difficulties and make online learning an enjoyable experience.
There would be both Formative and Summative assessments, conducted online for Grades 3 to 8. There are no formal assessments for Early years (Nursery to Kindergarten) and Grades 1 & 2.
Grades 9 & 11 will be assessed formally within school. The board examinations for grades 10 & 12 assessments of NIOS, Cambridge and Edexcel are pen and paper based at an examination centre approved by the respective board. Please speak to our Admission Advisor for more clarity or check with specific requirements in your country.
learners take assessments based on conceptual understanding and application of knowledge, and this reduces the instances of plagiarism or copying. As a school we promote Academic honesty and drive it across the school through various ways. Further, we have access to tools that check plagiarism and identify content copied from sources on the internet.
Yes, learners will have substantial written work, tailored to their grade level, as part of the learning plan. Parents can take photos of the work using their mobile devices and upload them to the learning platform for evaluation and feedback. While it's not feasible to review all written work, assignments are discussed in class, and feedback is provided as necessary. learners are also encouraged to engage in peer and self-assessment of their work.
Throughout the year, we organise a variety of city-based learning trips, including both day trips and overnight excursions. We also offer international trips for a broader educational experience. These trips are optional and come with an additional cost, providing learners with enriching opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. Our domestic trips so far have been to Rishikesh and Pondicherry, the international trip has been to Dubai. We have also gone on day trips in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Our monsoon trek was held across cities like Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Malaysia, UAE and Singapore.
A learner Portfolio is a comprehensive compilation of a learner’s academic progress and achievements. Through various digital platforms, learners can track and document their work, creating a dynamic and accessible record of their learning journey. This digital portfolio allows learners to share their progress with parents during learner-led conferences, offering a meaningful way to showcase their growth and accomplishments in real-time.
For Pre-Primary, we have designed and developed our proprietary curriculum. The curriculum aligns to the latest National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Guidelines and is based on the framework of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), UK. It incorporates the 16 Habits of Mind and is designed for 21st-century children. The curriculum covers seven significant and interconnected areas of learning and development, divided into the Prime Areas and Specific Areas.
The following are the Prime and Specific Areas of Development in the Early Years based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework), UK.
Prime Areas
Specific Areas
For the Indian Curriculum Grades 1 and above, we follow the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) of India. This curriculum is developed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It is the same curriculum that is adopted by CBSE and other Boards in India. The present NCF dates back to 2005, and we expect a new NCF in 2023. 21K School would adopt any changes in the NCF, as decided by the Government from time to time.
We additionally offer the British Curriculum from Nursery. This internationally recognized curriculum focuses on a well-rounded education, emphasising core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Global Perspectives and Science, while also incorporating creative arts, physical education, and social studies. The British Curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning, preparing learners for future academic challenges and success.
Our approach combines rigorous academic standards with a flexible, learner-centered learning environment. Through interactive online sessions, project-based learning, and continuous assessment, learners are encouraged to explore and engage deeply with their subjects, developing both knowledge and essential life skills.
The medium of instruction is English unless the subject requires another medium of instruction. For learners who struggle with comprehending English, bilingual instructions will be given depending on the ability of the facilitator to speak in the language comprehended by the learner. Parents can communicate in their chosen language if the facilitator can follow the same.
Yes, we offer a third language as optional; learners can choose from any of the 13 Indian/International languages - Arabic, Hindi, Marathi, French, Sanskrit, Kannada, Japanese, Tamil, Malayalam, Spanish, Telugu, ESOL (English) and Urdu.
Yes, learners can study Arabic, French, ESOL, Japanese and Spanish as a second, or third language upon payment of an additional fee.
Learner’s Learning Kit is a physical set of textbooks and workbooks for use throughout the academic year. This is essential for written work and practice. The kit also contains a School Identity Card, Almanac, Calendar and goody bag. Parents will get the Kit at their residence on registration and after payment of the Kit charges. Please refer to curriculum pages for precise details of the learning kit.
The Learning Kit is usually dispatched 8 weeks before the start of the academic year. Depending on the city of delivery, it may take up to 2-4 weeks for delivery. International Shipments may take longer time due to custom clearance and such other issues. In a rare case of non-delivery of books or delay, learners will have access to digital copies of books.
Each academic session commences with a session of bonding, where activities are planned to ensure learners know each other well. Each day has a series of individual, pair and group tasks planned to ensure learners collaborate with each other.

We have implemented various security measures to protect your information and ensure your child's safety during their time with us. Our strict learner conduct policy actively prevents any form of bullying or harassment, with a zero-tolerance stance on verbal, emotional, or cyber abuse. While online schooling significantly reduces the risk of physical bullying, corporal punishment, and discrimination, we remain vigilant. 21K School is fully committed to maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for all our learners.
21K School takes extensive precautions to ensure that your personal information remains confidential. We adhere to industry standards to protect your data from unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, modification, unlawful destruction, or accidental loss. We do not sell or commercially exploit your personal data, except when necessary to deliver the services we offer. To safeguard your Personal Information during transmission, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you provide. To further protect sensitive information, it’s important to monitor who has access to your password and devices. Always sign off after using a shared computer. 21K School is always on the lookout for the best facilitators from across India and abroad. All facilitators are required to meet the eligibility criteria and personal specifications. During the recruitment and selection process, facilitators go through five levels of intense interviews and assessments, including background verification. We train all facilitators before they start to teach learners and interact with parents. This rigorous process ensures that only the most dedicated and talented individuals join our Academic Crew. 21K School is truly committed to providing quality education, and we will continue to invest in attracting and retaining the best teaching talent in the country.
In today's world, screen time is an inescapable part of life for many children. According to the World Health Organization, children aged 3-5 should spend no more than one hour per day on screen time, and primary school children should have no more than 1.5-2 hours. However, not all screen time is detrimental. 21K School's screen time policy ensures that all screen time is supervised by a caring adult and is part of a structured learning process. This means that learners are not allowed to use social media platforms or gaming apps, and browsing the internet is limited. The only screen time that is expected is for online classes and related tasks/activities. At the pre-primary level, screen time is more with adults than with learners, and it is used to provide a human touch to the home-schooling process. This policy ensures that screen time is used in a positive way to further children's education. We advise parents to restrict the screen time of their children beyond 21K School hours. Detailed guidelines, tips and counselling support will be provided to all registered learners to help manage the screen time of their children.
Learning should never be a burden. That’s why we’ve thoughtfully designed a schedule of three to four hours of classes per day, five days a week, considering several key factors. We believe this is the ideal duration for effective learning without compromising outcomes.
By limiting class time to three to four hours, we ensure that learners aren’t overwhelmed and can better retain what they’ve learned. A tired child cannot learn effectively. Our experienced facilitators, trained in the 21K methodology, know how to keep learners engaged throughout the lessons. We also recognize the unique challenges of screen-based learning, so we incorporate interactive activities and regular breaks to prevent screen fatigue. Our facilitators use a variety of digital tools and resources to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that supports both academic and social-emotional development.
Additionally, subjects like library and general knowledge are adapted to online formats without compromising core learning outcomes.
While it is important for learners to receive structured learning time in the form of live classes, it is also vital for them to explore their interests and engage in hands-on learning experiences. By encouraging learners to spend at least four to six hours per day engaged in learning activities, we can help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and in life. Home assignments are one way to provide learners with the opportunity to learn independently and at their own pace. However, it is essential to ensure that learners can handle homework. A balance should be struck between structured class time and independent learning time, and both should be geared towards helping learners achieve success.
We understand that parents may not be able to attend all live classes, and we have made provisions for parents to view recorded classes and stay updated on homework and activities through the school eCampus Mobile App. We hope parents will take advantage of these resources and continue supporting their child's learning, even when they cannot attend live classes.
learners aged six years and above can generally login and enter the live classes in three clicks. Please watch the tech videos on the portal or attend a tech training and orientation programme before the start of the new academic year.
To ensure that pre-primary learners receive the best possible education, we require that an adult (‘Learning Coach’) be present during all live classes. We have seen a limited presence of parents during live classes from Grade 1 onwards.
We value parents' involvement in their child's learning, and we believe that our dashboard, detailed reports and recorded classes, along with features like messaging, calendar and on-demand PTM, will help parents support their child's education proactively and transparently.
At 21K School, we understand that flexibility is important for our learners and their families. That's why we offer the "Anytime and Anywhere" learning option, which allows learners to attend classes at a time and place convenient to them. learners can also complete their homework from any location and any hour of the day. However, we do not allow flexibility when it comes to changing batch times. Change of batch times is permissible only once a month and thrice a year. This is because a cohort of facilitators and coordinators are responsible for each batch. They are responsible for tracking the progress of each child's learning. If there are frequent changes in the batch, holding a facilitator and coordinator accountable for a child's progress is challenging, which is unacceptable. We believe this accountability level is essential for ensuring our learners receive the best possible education.
Please Click Here to learn more about Batch Timing. Grades 9-12 do not have the option of morning and afternoon batches. Please refer to concerned curriculum pages for more details.
Class size is one of the most critical factors to ensure an engaging and interactive online school experience. Our class size is small and interactive, with at most 15 learners in Pre-Primary/Early Years and only 28 learners in Grades 1 and above. This class size allows for personal attention for every learner, which is essential for active learning components. As a result, our learners thrive in their studies and develop a love for learning.
Technology and digital tools are everywhere in the world we live in today. It is now an essential part of everyone’s life. The role of technology in business, industries, politics, sports, religion, society, health care, education, and every other aspect of our life is deepening beyond our imagination. The future will likely be more tech-driven because of rapid strides in technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, 3D Printing, machine learning, robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality, and the internet of things (IoT). Today’s children must learn and grow with the current trends to emerge as masters of technology and not dependents of these technologies. A Grade 1 learner of today may be competing for a job or working alongside Robots and Humanoids. 21K School, a digital-first school, aspires to prepare learners for this brave new world by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in such an environment.
Several factors, including the World Health Organisation (WHO) 's recommendations, have helped us determine the optimum number of live classes. As such, Nursery learners have 60 minutes, Kindergarten learners have 120 minutes, and Primary and Middle learners have 3 hours and 4 hours respectively of live classes. The above time includes classes, activities, meditation, daily assembly, assessment, and recess. A quick snapshot is presented below:

The purpose of live classes is to establish human contact, to teach concepts, conduct activities and to provide structure to the daily learning outcomes and expectations. Live classes also include assembly time, activity time and the regular teaching periods.
Although live classes are the preferred method of instruction, we understand that there may be times when learners are unable to attend. For those instances, we have a robust eCampus Platform and Mobile App that learners can use to view recorded classes and stay updated on homework and activities. Recorded Classes are unedited and made available within 24 hours, so learners can watch them at their convenience. Plus, the eCampus Platform and Mobile App are available throughout the year, so learners can access them anytime, anywhere.
Attendance is marked on the School Portal daily based on learner activities and joining live classes. Parents can track their child's attendance through the dashboard on the Portal and Mobile App. The information on participation and leave will only be visible to the concerned parents/learners and not to other parents/learners. learners can apply for leave through the Learning Portal. The school's attendance policy is designed to promote regular attendance and class participation. It is also essential for learners to be present to benefit from the instructional program and to develop good study habits. The attendance policy will be enforced consistently and fairly for all learners. Regular attendance is important and necessary for success in school.
Communication between parents and facilitators is essential for learner success. Parents need to quickly reach out to facilitators with questions or concerns, and facilitators need to be able to provide updates on learner progress. Parent-facilitator Meetings (PTMs) are an excellent way for parents and facilitators to stay in communication, and they should be held on a regular basis. However, Parents can also contact the Facilitators / Principal through online messaging, email and call centre. In addition, meetings can be scheduled only through prior appointments. This allows parents to quickly reach out to the school with any questions or concerns they may have.
At our school, we value feedback to maintain and improve the quality of our facilitators and the teaching-learning experience. We conduct regular feedback polls and surveys, and parents are always welcome to communicate their concerns and suggestions using the portal or mobile app. It's quick, easy and straightforward to contact any of us in the academic leadership crew. Our last feedback survey showed a consistent 87% satisfaction rate, which beats any school's track record. We are always looking for ways to improve, and feedback is essential in helping us to reach our goal of providing the best possible education for our learners.
PTMs are an essential avenue of communication between facilitators and parents. They provide an opportunity for parents to voice their concerns and suggestions and receive feedback on their child's progress. At 21k school, we conduct at least one Parent facilitator Meeting in every quarter. However, we understand that parents' schedules are often busy, so we also have the option of on-demand PTM at a mutually convenient time. In addition, informal 'Coffee with Me' sessions are held thrice throughout the year to solicit parents' feedback. We value the input of our parents, and we believe that PTMs and Coffee with Me are essential for ensuring that the school is meeting the needs of our learners and their families.
Apart from these meetings, to ensure better communication with the parents we also have regular 'parent connect' which are done individually with all parents by the facilitators.
We suggest using a home desktop or laptop computer to attend live classes. These devices will provide the best visual and audio experience for learners. Worksheets and home assignments can be corrected in various ways to provide feedback to learners and track their progress. One approach is self-assessment, where learners review their work using answer keys provided at the end of the assignments. Parents can also support their children in correcting their work. Additionally, facilitators may ask parents to upload completed assignments on the portal for evaluation. Facilitators then review and correct all submitted assignments, providing targeted feedback through the portal. This method ensures that learners receive constructive feedback, parents stay engaged in the learning process, and facilitators can focus on enhancing the overall educational experience.
At the end of each academic year, parents will receive a report card for their child's progress. This report card will include grades and feedback from facilitators, as well as a summary of the learner's performance. The report card is a valuable tool for parents to use in understanding their child's progress and setting goals for the future. Report cards are digitally signed and stamped using blockchain technology and made available for parents to download and print within four weeks of the PTM. Physical copies can be provided upon request for a nominal fee.
Celebrations are a vital part of our culture and help to create a sense of community. They provide an opportunity for us to come together and share our traditions, and they also help to promote understanding and respect for other cultures. As we celebrate different festivals and days throughout the year, it is important that we take the time to educate ourselves about their significance. This is why we will be holding special assembly sessions to discuss the history and meaning of different celebrations. We will also be sharing tips and ideas for how to celebrate them at home with family and friends. By taking the time to learn about and understand the importance of celebrations, we can help to create a more connected and tolerant world.
School Assembly is a time when the learners and facilitators come together to start the day on a positive note. We pray for universal values of truth, love, understanding, compassion, and peace. The focus is on setting the tone for the day and creating an atmosphere of positivity. School Assembly is not about subscribing to or teaching any religious doctrines. This is a time for all of us to come together as a community and start the day off right.
One of the most common questions we get from new learners is whether or not they need to wear a uniform. The answer is no - learners at our school do not have a uniform. However, we expect learners to follow the dress code, which will be discussed during the first week of class. The dress code is designed to promote a positive learning environment, and it includes guidelines on appropriate clothing and accessories. We understand that not everyone is comfortable with the same level of formality, so we allow learners to choose what they wear within the limits of the dress code. Headgear, scarves, and hijabs are permitted and respected within our diverse, secular global community of learners and parents. We hope that this policy helps everyone feel comfortable and ready to learn.
At School, we take privacy very seriously. As a policy, we do not provide access to other learners/parents contact details and personal information. We understand that privacy is important to our community, and we want to ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable. During the live classes, learners/parents can only see the other learner’s profile pictures. The learners/parents cannot change their profile picture and name. The profile on the Portal, including the registration number, is similar to the School ID Card. This helps to ensure that everyone remains anonymous and that personal information is not shared. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and secure environment.
The User ID is linked to an individual student, and other students cannot use the same account. One can always reset the user id and password on the portal or with the support of the Tech Crew.
Learners are not encouraged to change batches, however certain changes can be permitted at the discretion of the Principal only.

Home-schooling or Home Education is a term used for learners who undergo their schooling from home or a variety of places other than a school. Parents, home tutor or online tutor usually deliver the education program to learners. Home Schools are popular with parents who are not satisfied with neighbourhood schools, or desire greater control and involvement in their children's learning process. Homeschooling offers significant advantages for learners - it is flexible, provides a variety of learning experiences, ensures greater engagement and personalised attention. However, the most considerable disadvantage is that it can be primarily unstructured. 21K School provides structure to home-schooling and the other benefits the system offers.
While online schools have been around for several decades, they have seen a surge in popularity in recent years. One of the main reasons for this is the Covid19 pandemic, which has forced many schools to close their doors. However, even before the pandemic, online schools were beginning to gain traction. Thanks to the widespread availability of high-speed internet, more and more learners can take advantage of the benefits of online learning. These benefits include flexible scheduling, personalised instruction, and increased access to course material. In addition, online schools often offer lower tuition rates than traditional brick-and-mortar institutions. As a result, it is not surprising that online schools are becoming increasingly popular. In fact, according to some estimates, the number of online school learners will quadruple by 2025. With so many benefits, it is easy to see why online schools are quickly becoming the preferred choice for many families.
33% of the parents registered us last year for better quality of education and improved learning outcomes, which was not met by physical schools.
Blended learning is an approach to education that combines brick-and-mortar schools with online schools and learning. It uses facilitators in a classroom context and EdTech-based solutions for online teaching, activities and resources. It only offers some of the benefits of an online school. However, it gives some learners control over time, pace, path and place.
Flipped learning is an instructional strategy where learners watch online lectures, collaborate in online discussions, or undertake research at home while engaging in concepts in the classroom with the guidance of a facilitator.
In a traditional classroom setting, learner's learning is centred around the facilitator, and engagement of the learner is restricted to participating in facilitator-led activities.
In a flipped classroom, the teaching is learner-centred, where the time in the school is used to explore topics in greater depth and create meaningful learning opportunities. In a flipped classroom, 'content delivery' may take a variety of forms driven by EdTech platforms like 21K School.
