21K School offers the Early Years curriculum for pre-primary (Nursery, KG1 and KG2). It is aligned to the National Curriculum Framework Of School Education of India from Grades 1- 8. It also uses a system based on NIOS for exit-level assessments in Grades 10 and 12, where mark sheets and Pass Certificates are issued by NIOS, an autonomous body under the Government of India. These certificates are at par with CBSE or CISCE Certificates and valid for entry to colleges and universities, including IIT, Medical Colleges and UPSC.

Yes, we provide the Marksheet and transfer certificate at the end of the year up to Grade 8. Secondary and Senior Secondary certifications are issued by respective Boards/Examination Bodies. Marksheet (hard copies) and Transfer Certificate (soft copies) are issued only at the end of the academic year on completion of at least two terms and not in the middle of the academic year. Additionally, parents are required to submit a no-dues certificate from the School Office along with its request for TC and Marksheet.
K-12 schools are generally referred to as K-12 Schools, where K stands for Kindergarten and 12 for Grade 12. The K-12 learning model at '21K' School is flipped to represent the flipped learning model.

The Right to Education Act of 2009 prohibits the detention of children until they complete elementary education, which is up to class 8. If a child fails the exam, they will receive additional instruction and have the opportunity to take a re-examination. In exceptional cases, the school has the discretion to detain a child. Remedial Sessions are the support extended to learners to cope or challenge the achievement level of the class. These classes are offered to learners who struggle with language issues, are unable to cope with the pace of the class, have difficulty owing to language barriers or are beyond the pace of the class. We have levels of academic scaffolding for learners requiring remedial work. Often these sessions are temporary and driven by the decision of the homeroom facilitator and our own AI-driven learning platform.

An enrichment class is the support extended to learners who need to be at par with the grade level. A number of learners may lag owing to reasons varying from language barriers, late admissions, individual achievement level etc. This may vary on an individual and/or subject basis. Enrichment classes enable us to address these concerns with the help of facilitators who diagnose the need and recommend them. These sessions also support learners who have extended learning beyond the grade level and need to be challenged.

Grades 9 & 11 will be assessed formally within school.The board examinations for grades 10 & 12 assessments of NIOS, Cambridge and Edexcel are pen and paper based at an examination centre approved by the respective board. Yes, learners will have substantial written work, tailored to their grade level, as part of the learning plan. Parents can take photos of the work using their mobile devices and upload them to the learning platform for evaluation and feedback. While it's not feasible to review all written work, assignments are discussed in class, and feedback is provided as necessary. learners are also encouraged to engage in peer and self-assessment of their work.
Throughout the year, we organise a variety of city-based learning trips, including both day trips and overnight excursions. We also offer international trips for a broader educational experience. These trips are optional and come with an additional cost, providing learners with enriching opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. Our domestic trips so far have been to Rishikesh and Pondicherry, the international trip has been to Dubai. We have also gone on day trips in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. For Pre-Primary, we have designed and developed our proprietary curriculum. Learner’s Learning Kit is a physical set of textbooks and workbooks for use throughout the academic year. This is essential for written work and practice. The kit also contains a School Identity Card, Almanac, Calendar and goody bag. Parents will get the Kit at their residence on registration and after payment of the Kit charges. The Learning Kit is usually dispatched 8 weeks before the start of the academic year. Depending on the city of delivery, it may take up to 2-4 weeks for delivery. International Shipments may take longer time due to custom clearance and such other issues. In a rare case of non-delivery of books or delay, learners will have access to digital copies of books.
Each academic session commences with a session of bonding, where activities are planned to ensure learners know each other well. Each day has a series of individual, pair and group tasks planned to ensure learners collaborate with each other.

In today's world, screen time is an inescapable part of life for many children. According to the World Health Organization, children aged 3-5 should spend no more than one hour per day on screen time, and primary school children should have no more than 1.5-2 hours. However, not all screen time is detrimental. 21K School's screen time policy ensures that all screen time is supervised by a caring adult and is part of a structured learning process. This means that learners are not allowed to use social media platforms or gaming apps, and browsing the internet is limited. The only screen time that is expected is for online classes and related tasks/activities. At the pre-primary level, screen time is more with adults than with learners, and it is used to provide a human touch to the home-schooling process. This policy ensures that screen time is used in a positive way to further children's education. We advise parents to restrict the screen time of their children beyond 21K School hours. Detailed guidelines, tips and counselling support will be provided to all registered learners to help manage the screen time of their children.
Learning should never be a burden. That’s why we’ve thoughtfully designed a schedule of three to four hours of classes per day, five days a week, considering several key factors. We believe this is the ideal duration for effective learning without compromising outcomes.
By limiting class time to three to four hours, we ensure that learners aren’t overwhelmed and can better retain what they’ve learned. A tired child cannot learn effectively. Our experienced facilitators, trained in the 21K methodology, know how to keep learners engaged throughout the lessons. We also recognize the unique challenges of screen-based learning, so we incorporate interactive activities and regular breaks to prevent screen fatigue. Our facilitators use a variety of digital tools and resources to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that supports both academic and social-emotional development.
Additionally, subjects like library and general knowledge are adapted to online formats without compromising core learning outcomes.
While it is important for learners to receive structured learning time in the form of live classes, it is also vital for them to explore their interests and engage in hands-on learning experiences. By encouraging learners to spend at least four to six hours per day engaged in learning activities, we can help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and in life. Home assignments are one way to provide learners with the opportunity to learn independently and at their own pace. However, it is essential to ensure that learners can handle homework. A balance should be struck between structured class time and independent learning time, and both should be geared towards helping learners achieve success.
We understand that parents may not be able to attend all live classes, and we have made provisions for parents to view recorded classes and stay updated on homework and activities through the school eCampus Mobile App. We hope parents will take advantage of these resources and continue supporting their child's learning, even when they cannot attend live classes.
learners aged six years and above can generally login and enter the live classes in three clicks. Please watch the tech videos on the portal or attend a tech training and orientation programme before the start of the new academic year.
To ensure that pre-primary learners receive the best possible education, we require that an adult (‘Learning Coach’) be present during all live classes. We have seen a limited presence of parents during live classes from Grade 1 onwards.
We value parents' involvement in their child's learning, and we believe that our dashboard, detailed reports and recorded classes, along with features like messaging, calendar and on-demand PTM, will help parents support their child's education proactively and transparently.
At 21K School, we understand that flexibility is important for our learners and their families. That's why we offer the "Anytime and Anywhere" learning option, which allows learners to attend classes at a time and place convenient to them. learners can also complete their homework from any location and any hour of the day. However, we do not allow flexibility when it comes to changing batch times. Change of batch times is permissible only once a month and thrice a year. This is because a cohort of facilitators and coordinators are responsible for each batch. They are responsible for tracking the progress of each child's learning. If there are frequent changes in the batch, holding a facilitator and coordinator accountable for a child's progress is challenging, which is unacceptable. We believe this accountability level is essential for ensuring our learners receive the best possible education.

Class size is one of the most critical factors to ensure an engaging and interactive online school experience. Our class size is small and interactive, with at most 15 learners in Pre-Primary/Early Years and only 28 learners in Grades 1 and above. Several factors, including the World Health Organisation (WHO) 's recommendations, have helped us determine the optimum number of live classes. As such, Nursery learners have 60 minutes, Kindergarten learners have 120 minutes, and Primary and Middle learners have 3 hours and 4 hours respectively of live classes. The purpose of live classes is to establish human contact, to teach concepts, conduct activities and to provide structure to the daily learning outcomes and expectations. Live classes also include assembly time, activity time and the regular teaching periods.
Although live classes are the preferred method of instruction, we understand that there may be times when learners are unable to attend. For those instances, we have a robust eCampus Platform and Mobile App that learners can use to view recorded classes and stay updated on homework and activities. Recorded Classes are unedited and made available within 24 hours, so learners can watch them at their convenience. Plus, the eCampus Platform and Mobile App are available throughout the year, so learners can access them anytime, anywhere.
Attendance is marked on the School Portal daily based on learner activities and joining live classes. Parents can track their child's attendance through the dashboard on the Portal and Mobile App. The information on participation and leave will only be visible to the concerned parents/learners and not to other parents/learners. learners can apply for leave through the Learning Portal. The school's attendance policy is designed to promote regular attendance and class participation. It is also essential for learners to be present to benefit from the instructional program and to develop good study habits. The attendance policy will be enforced consistently and fairly for all learners. Regular attendance is important and necessary for success in school.
Communication between parents and facilitators is essential for learner success. Parents need to quickly reach out to facilitators with questions or concerns, and facilitators need to be able to provide updates on learner progress. Parent-facilitator Meetings (PTMs) are an excellent way for parents and facilitators to stay in communication, and they should be held on a regular basis. However, Parents can also contact the Facilitators / Principal through online messaging, email and call centre. In addition, meetings can be scheduled only through prior appointments. This allows parents to quickly reach out to the school with any questions or concerns they may have.
At our school, we value feedback to maintain and improve the quality of our facilitators and the teaching-learning experience. We conduct regular feedback polls and surveys, and parents are always welcome to communicate their concerns and suggestions using the portal or mobile app. It's quick, easy and straightforward to contact any of us in the academic leadership crew. Our last feedback survey showed a consistent 87% satisfaction rate, which beats any school's track record. We are always looking for ways to improve, and feedback is essential in helping us to reach our goal of providing the best possible education for our learners.
PTMs are an essential avenue of communication between facilitators and parents. They provide an opportunity for parents to voice their concerns and suggestions and receive feedback on their child's progress. At 21k school, we conduct at least one Parent facilitator Meeting in every quarter. However, we understand that parents' schedules are often busy, so we also have the option of on-demand PTM at a mutually convenient time. In addition, informal 'Coffee with Me' sessions are held thrice throughout the year to solicit parents' feedback. We value the input of our parents, and we believe that PTMs and Coffee with Me are essential for ensuring that the school is meeting the needs of our learners and their families.
Apart from these meetings, to ensure better communication with the parents we also have regular 'parent connect' which are done individually with all parents by the facilitators.
We suggest using a home desktop or laptop computer to attend live classes. These devices will provide the best visual and audio experience for learners. In exceptional cases, learners may attend classes through the mobile app on Android phones and iPhones. At the end of each academic year, parents will receive a report card for their child's progress. This report card will include grades and feedback from facilitators, as well as a summary of the learner's performance. The report card is a valuable tool for parents to use in understanding their child's progress and setting goals for the future. Report cards are digitally signed and stamped using blockchain technology and made available for parents to download and print within four weeks of the PTM. Physical copies can be provided upon request for a nominal fee.

One of the most common questions we get from new learners is whether or not they need to wear a uniform. The answer is no - learners at our school do not have a uniform. However, we expect learners to follow the dress code, which will be discussed during the first week of class. The dress code is designed to promote a positive learning environment, and it includes guidelines on appropriate clothing and accessories. We understand that not everyone is comfortable with the same level of formality, so we allow learners to choose what they wear within the limits of the dress code. At School, we take privacy very seriously. As a policy, we do not provide access to other learners/parents contact details and personal information. We understand that privacy is important to our community, and we want to ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable. During the live classes, learners/parents can only see the other learner’s profile pictures. The learners/parents cannot change their profile picture and name. The profile on the Portal, including the registration number, is similar to the School ID Card. This helps to ensure that everyone remains anonymous and that personal information is not shared. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and secure environment.
The User ID is linked to an individual student, and other students cannot use the same account. One can always reset the user id and password on the portal or with the support of the Tech Crew.
Learners are not encouraged to change batches, however certain changes can be permitted at the discretion of the Principal only.
All Saturdays are off days for learners of Grades 1 to 12. However, on every alternate Saturday, learners will be engaged in activities and special classes. Pre-Primary classes are only scheduled from Monday to Friday.

Parents pay the fee in advance as per the schedule, and unfortunately, we do not have a refund policy for the fee paid. learners / Parents can withdraw from 21K School in the middle of the academic year, without being liable to pay for the future fee instalments. However, in such cases TC and report cards are not issued.

Our school programmes are designed to give learners the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen curriculum. However, life can sometimes get in the way of programme completion. At 21K School, we understand that learners and parents may need to discontinue their studies at any point during the academic year. In such cases, we do not require payment for future fee instalments or issue transcripts/report cards or TC. learners are always welcome to continue their studies at 21K School in the future, subject to availability. We believe everyone should have access to quality education, no matter what life throws their way.
Admissions will be possible only till August. Mid term admissions will not be permissible as there are many issues operationally and academically that make it difficult to accept a new admission in the middle of the academic year.
