Shaik Asra Mubeen

I am Asra Mubeen, a passionate Mathematics educator with over five years of experience bringing numbers to life for Middle and Secondary students across CBSE and IGCSE curricula in India and abroad. My teaching journey took me from the shores of Himmafushi Island in the Maldives, where I taught diverse, multicultural classrooms, to Solitaire Global School in Hyderabad and now NextGen CBSE School in Vijayawada, where I currently mentor young minds and serve as a Class Teacher. Armed with an MSc in Pure Mathematics and a B.Ed in Education, I thrive on turning abstract concepts into curiosity-driven discovery, managing classrooms of up to 35 students with patience, energy, and a genuine love for helping students think critically and grow confidently — both in Mathematics and in life.

I still remember my first classroom in the Maldives — a small island school filled with students from different nationalities, all trying to make sense of numbers in a language that wasn't always their own. That experience taught me that teaching Mathematics isn't just about equations; it's about meeting each student where they are and helping them believe they can understand it. Watching a student go from "I hate math" to solving a problem on their own, eyes lighting up with that quiet "I get it now" — that feeling is why I've stayed in this profession for over five years, across three schools and two countries. For me, teaching isn't just a job — it's a space where I get to guide, mentor, and remind students that they're capable of more than they think. That's why I teach, and why I keep showing up, year after year.
