About Needa
ICT/Computing educator with 13+ years of experience, including 3+ years in departmental leadership, specialising in curriculum design across ICSE, CBSE, and British frameworks. Currently facilitating online computing education for Grades 1–5, with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and ISTQB certification backing a passion for teacher training and student engagement.
My journey in ICT/Computing education spans over 13 years, beginning as a Computer Teacher and growing into a Head of Department role that I held for 3+ years. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to design and deliver computer science curricula across ICSE, CBSE, and British curriculum frameworks, working with students up to Grade 10 on everything from programming fundamentals to exam preparation and moderation. Alongside teaching, I've led teacher training sessions, facilitated workshops, and supported staff development, while also managing school events and building strong connections with students along the way. Today, I facilitate online computing education for Grades 1–5, introducing young learners to concepts like algorithms, sequencing, and Scratch programming in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Holding a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Mumbai University and an ISTQB certification in software testing, I continue to blend technical expertise with a genuine passion for curriculum design and student engagement, values that have shaped my career from the very beginning.
When I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science, my plan was to step into the corporate world. But the 2008 recession left me with limited options, and teaching became my starting point — something I told myself was temporary, a stepping stone until I could "somehow, someday" make my way into a corporate role. What I didn't expect was how much I'd fall in love with it. Delivering knowledge, interacting with young learners, being part of their activities and events, and receiving their genuine love and respect made me realize teaching wasn't a detour — it was where I belonged. That unexpected beginning turned into a career spanning 13+ years, and even today, that same feeling — watching a concept "click" for a student, whether it's a Grade 10 learner debugging their first program or a 6-year-old completing their first Scratch animation — is what keeps me passionate about this profession.

Needa’s Philosophy
Every learner can succeed with the right support and encouragement.
Learning should be hands-on, engaging, and connected to real-world understanding.
Curiosity is the foundation of true learning, encourage questions, don't just answer them.
Building strong foundational concepts early sets learners up for lifelong problem-solving skills.
Teaching is a partnership, growth happens through connection, patience, and mutual respect.
