My teaching journey is driven by a genuine passion for Mathematics and a strong belief that every learner can become a confident and curious mathematician. As a Mathematics Facilitator, I focus on creating learner-centred experiences where concepts are explored through meaningful questions, real-life connections, discussion, and problem-solving rather than simply learning procedures. I enjoy designing engaging learning experiences that encourage learners to think critically, reason mathematically, make connections, and explain their thinking. My approach is to create a supportive classroom environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and discovering different ways to solve a problem. I continuously reflect on my practice and explore new strategies to make learning more purposeful, interactive, and relevant for every learner.

One of the most rewarding moments in teaching is seeing the change in a learner who initially says, “I can’t do this,” and then, after exploring the problem, proudly says, “I figured it out!” These moments remind me why I teach. I believe teaching is not just about helping learners find the right answer, but about helping them develop the confidence to think, question, try again, and trust their own ideas. Mathematics gives me countless opportunities to create these moments of discovery, and I feel privileged to be part of each learner’s journey.
