When you enroll your child at 21K School, you trust us with their education, personal growth, and daily wellbeing. We maintain clear boundaries between executive leadership, academic direction, and independent board oversight so that every decision directly serves your child.

Founded on 9 March 2020, 21K School is operated by 21K School Education Private Limited (formerly Mindreflex Technologies Private Limited), headquartered in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Supported by investor and enterprise leader Mr Ronnie Screwvala (Chairperson of upGrad), 21K School employs over 500+ educators and operational specialists dedicated to supporting your child's learning journey.

For NIOS, Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel qualifications, final external examinations are conducted and evaluated independently by the respective Board. Official results and certificates are issued by that Board.

Academic leaders for each stage and pathway

Specialized educational expertise from early years through high school

Academic leadership is organised around the needs of different stages and curriculum pathways. Early Years requires developmental expertise and close partnership with the Learning Coach. Primary School focuses on strong foundations, curiosity and learning habits. Middle School adds greater subject depth and learner independence. Senior School requires specialist subject guidance, Board readiness and informed planning for higher education.

How facilitators are trained and developed

Continuous training in online pedagogy, learning science, and child safety

Our teachers—whom we call facilitators—are the heart of your child’s daily learning environment. A dedicated Learning Excellence Team oversees facilitator recruitment, onboarding, and continuous professional training. Our Facilitator Quality & Training Standards Covers:

  • Qualification Baseline

Every facilitator holds a university degree in their specific teaching subject alongside a recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed. or international equivalent).

  • Teaching Experience

Our teaching crew holds an average of 6.7 years of K-12 teaching experience.

  • Continuous Professional Development

In the 2025–26 academic year alone, our facilitators completed 551 hours of structured professional development covering online learning science, digital assessment tools, student engagement, and child safety.

Support teams for wellbeing, records, and administration

Our Counsellors support learners while specialist teams manage onboarding, technology, and records.

Academic achievement relies heavily on emotional wellbeing and administrative clarity. Our dedicated support teams operate alongside academic leaders to ensure your family receives complete assistance.

Non-academic teams support families with onboarding, technology, schedules, records, fees and Board processes. Clear functional ownership allows academic teams to remain focused on learning and gives families an appropriate route for different types of concern.

  • Student counselling & mental health

Qualified student counsellors assist learners with time management, academic stress, peer relationships, and developmental transitions.

How It Works: Parents, facilitators, or learners can request a session directly through the student portal.

Cadence: Individual check-ins are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly depending on the learner's needs, with complete privacy protocols maintained.

  • Administrative & technical support

Non-academic operations handle onboarding, platform access, official transcripts, tuition records, and board exam documentation. This clear division of responsibilities ensures your child's teachers remain focused entirely on instruction and feedback.

How governance holds leadership accountable

Oversight of educational quality, safeguarding, finance, and institutional standards

Governance provides oversight beyond the management of daily operations. Its purpose is to protect the institution’s vision, and ensure responsible decision-making. Further, it holds leadership accountable for academic quality, compliance, safeguarding, financial stewardship, risk and long-term sustainability.

The Board provides oversight of institutional direction and governance.

This separation of roles creates clearer accountability. Governance sets expectations, reviews performance and tests whether significant decisions serve the institution’s purpose and long-term interests. Leadership converts that direction into plans, systems and outcomes.

  • Decisions informed by evidence

Leadership and governance reviews are informed by relevant academic, operational and financial evidence. Attendance, engagement, assessment, learner work, facilitator observations, support trends and parent feedback help identify strengths, risks and areas requiring action.

Evidence is interpreted in context. Data informs judgment; it does not replace personal care. We evaluate trends to refine teaching methods without reducing your child to a data point on a dashboard.

  • Accountability to families

Clear communication channels and transparent issue escalation.

You will always know who is responsible for your child’s education and how to raise a question or concern. We route issues directly to the appropriate functional leads for prompt resolution.

Governance does not replace these operating channels. It ensures that the channels, responsibilities and standards are defined, reviewed and strengthened.

How 21K School keeps your child safe online

Standards, staff background checks, and clear reporting routes across every class

Safeguarding is the responsibility to protect every learner’s safety, dignity and wellbeing. In an online school, this responsibility extends across live classes, digital communication, school platforms, learner interactions, records and any school-organised online or in-person activity.

Our safeguarding approach

21K School’s safeguarding approach is based on clear professional standards, appropriate boundaries, responsible use of technology, respect for privacy and defined routes for reporting and escalation. Every adult working with learners is expected to understand their responsibility to recognise and report a concern rather than investigate or manage it informally.

  • Dedicated Oversight

Safeguarding operations are managed by our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in coordination with the Head of Schools.

  • Mandatory Staff Training

Every employee undergoes background verification and completes mandatory child safeguarding and digital ethics training every six months.

  • Clear Conduct Boundaries

Facilitators operate within clear professional guidelines. All live classes are recorded and monitored for quality assurance and student safety.

  • Data Privacy

Access to student records is strictly role-based and compliant with data protection laws.

Safeguarding considerations are integrated into school policies, professional conduct, staff training, digital interaction and learner-support systems. Access to information is based on role and legitimate need, and concerns are directed to the appropriate responsible team for review and action.

Reporting and escalation

A learner, parent or member of the crew should be able to raise a concern through an official school channel. Reports are received seriously, recorded appropriately, handled with discretion and escalated according to the nature and urgency of the concern.

Where a matter requires specialist, statutory or emergency intervention, the school follows the applicable reporting and referral requirements. Confidentiality is respected, but it cannot be promised where sharing information is necessary to protect a child or comply with law.

Partnership with parents

Partnering with parents & learning coaches

Parents and Learning Coaches are important partners in safeguarding. A learning coach can be the parent or adult guardian who supports the child's daily learning environment at home.

To help us maintain a safe learning environment:

  • Ensure your child accesses live classes from a quiet, shared household space.
  • Use official 21K School messaging platforms for all school communications.
  • Report any unusual online interactions straight away using our official Safeguarding Policy & Reporting Portal.

The boards examine and certify, not 21K

21K School teaches and prepares; independent Boards mark and issue certificates.

21K School is a registered online Cambridge International School (School Center No. IA702) and an approved Pearson Edexcel Online School (Center No. 94883). For Indian national curricula, 21K School prepares students for the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) examinations.

Our teachers provide instructions, coursework guidance, and exam preparation. However, final external examinations are set, invigilated, marked, and certified independently by Cambridge, Pearson, or NIOS. This separation ensures that your child’s qualifications carry absolute international and national credibility.

How our leaders stay close to your child’s learning

Classroom observations, parent forums, and regular academic reviews

Our leaders maintain direct contact with classroom reality. Stage Principals and Academic Leads conduct over 40 live class observations every week to monitor facilitator delivery and student engagement.

Additionally, our Founder and Head of Schools host monthly open parent forums where you can share feedback, ask questions, and discuss school developments directly with executive leadership.

Frequently asked questions about leadership

Who should a parent contact first?

Use the official channel provided for the nature of the concern. Academic, wellbeing, safeguarding, technical and administrative matters are routed to the relevant specialist team and escalated when required.

Does 21K School decide final Board results?

No. Final NIOS, Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel examinations are independently conducted and evaluated by the respective Board, which issues the official results and certificates.

Why does Senior School have dedicated leadership?

Grades 9 to 12 involve specialised subjects, external Board requirements and significant progression decisions. Dedicated leadership provides the level of academic oversight and guidance appropriate to these years.

What is the difference between leadership and governance?

School leadership manages daily academic instruction, staff performance, and student operations. Governance provides independent oversight, evaluates executive performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and protects the long-term standards of the institution.

How should a safeguarding concern be reported?

Submit your concern directly through the official Safeguarding Reporting Channel on the parent portal or email the Designated Safeguarding Lead directly. Use this official channel so your concern reaches the safeguarding team straight away.
