About this calculator
About the CBSE roll number
Your roll number identifies you within a single CBSE exam cycle. It is printed on the admit card, written on every answer sheet, and used to pull up your result once the board declares it. The school number sits next to it and identifies the affiliated school you were registered under.
When you will need it
- Checking your Class 10 or Class 12 result on the CBSE results portal
- Downloading a duplicate admit card or marksheet
- Filling compartment, improvement or verification-of-marks forms
- Board-related entries in college and scholarship applications
Why a lookup fails
Almost every failed search comes down to a mismatch with the data your school submitted at registration. Initials expanded or dropped, a surname spelled differently, or a date of birth that differs from the birth certificate will all return no record. Enter details exactly as your school registered them rather than how you normally write them.
