Turn an Interest into Something Learners Can Do

Five live online Capstones help eligible Puducherry learners develop practical capabilities through guided projects, practice and application.

Five future-focused choices

Capstones complement the learner’s physical school experience by creating structured space to investigate a practical field, make decisions and produce visible work. The approved portfolio includes:

  • Financial literacy

For Grades 3 to 12: money choices, goals, budgeting, saving, banking and responsible financial behaviour.

  • Artificial intelligence

For Grades 1 to 12: age-appropriate AI literacy, creative tools, data, model thinking, ethics and applied problem-solving.

  • Public speaking

For Grades 3 to 12: structured communication, speeches, presentations, debate, interviews, listening and feedback.

  • Entrepreneurship

For Grades 6 to 10: identifying problems, researching opportunities, developing ideas, collaborating and pitching a proposal.

  • Coding

For Grades 3 to 12: computational thinking, visual logic, programming, games, web creation and progressively more independent software projects.

Projects with increasing independence

A Capstone is not passive screen time. Live sessions require learners to question, plan, create, test, present and improve. Facilitators provide structure and feedback, while projects help learners connect concepts with decisions and outcomes.

The complexity changes by grade band. Younger learners work with concrete examples, guided tools and short creations. Older learners can analyse more complex situations, use specialised tools and take greater responsibility for research, design and presentation.

Programme structure

Standard Capstones are organised into Levels 1, 2 and 3. Each level runs for three months and includes 24 live online sessions of 40 minutes. Entrepreneurship is the exception: it combines Levels 1 to 3 into one ten-month journey.

Eligibility depends on grade, readiness, the selected Capstone, timetable and cohort availability. Participation may take place from home or through a school-scheduled arrangement. Families provide the prescribed device, stable internet and ordinary household materials; no specialist kit is shipped unless a programme explicitly states otherwise.

Capstones and the Learning Garage are different

FLOWW Capstones are delivered online. The Learning Garage is a separate hands-on campus experience using physical tools, materials and making spaces. A learner may benefit from both, but the website should not imply that an online Capstone is delivered in the campus Garage or that the two programmes have identical curricula.

Questions parents ask

Are Capstones taught on campus?

No. The five FLOWW Capstones on this page are delivered online. Campus Learning Garage experiences are separate.

Does every learner follow all five Capstones?

No. Families select an eligible programme according to the learner’s grade, interests, timetable and available cohorts.

Is previous experience required?

Entry requirements vary. Many starting levels are designed for beginners, while later levels may require prior skills or completion of an earlier level.

Will learners complete a project?

Projects and applied outcomes form an important part of Capstone learning. The exact project depends on the programme, level and grade band.

Will learners receive a certificate?

Eligible learners will receive a 21K completion certificate, subject to attendance and programme requirements. No external certification is implied unless expressly stated.
