Her professional journey spans international education in Singapore and India, with a strong focus on assessment, learner agency and meaningful learning experiences.
As a Cambridge examiner and educator, she is particularly passionate about connecting classroom learning with effective assessment practices.
Her research interests centre on Emotional Intelligence and its role in strengthening educators and academic environments.
She also engages in teacher development, academic content creation, mentoring and public-speaking initiatives.
Beyond education, she is a trained Carnatic vocalist and passionate culinarian who finds creativity and joy in music, food and continuous learning.
She believes education is ultimately about helping learners find their path, develop confidence and become useful, thoughtful people for tomorrow.
Once, after a lesson, a learner stayed back to share something that had nothing to do with the subject we had studied. He told me that what they remembered most was not the content, but the way they felt heard, trusted and respected in my class. That stayed with me. In an age where almost every piece of information is available at our fingertips, knowledge is no longer my only offering as a teacher. My role is to add what a device cannot namley perspective, empathy, courage, judgement and the confidence to make choices. I want my learners to leave my classroom not just knowing more, but understanding themselves a little better. Grades may open a door, but character, resilience and the ability to learn will carry them much further. That is why I teach not simply to prepare learners for an assessment, but to prepare them for life. If something I said or the way I treated them helps them become a better human being tomorrow, then I know I have taught something worthwhile.
