About Jyoti
With over 17 years of experience in education, academic leadership, and professional training, I am passionate about creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for students in the digital classroom. My expertise includes History, curriculum planning, teaching-learning strategies, assessment, and academic development, with a strong understanding of CBSE academic practices.
Having trained 300+ teachers and 500+ IT professionals, I bring a unique blend of classroom experience, training expertise, leadership, and technology-enabled learning. In a 100% online school environment, I strive to make learning interactive, inclusive, student-centred, and connected to the real world.
I believe History is not merely about understanding the past—it is about developing critical thinking, perspective, curiosity, and an informed understanding of the world we live in today. My aim is to empower students to become confident learners, thoughtful individuals, and responsible global citizens.
I teach because I believe education has the power to change the way a young person sees the world—and ultimately, themselves.
For me, teaching is not simply about completing a syllabus or preparing students for examinations. It is about sparking curiosity, encouraging questions, developing independent thinking, and helping students find meaning in what they learn. This is especially true of History, a subject that allows us to understand not only what happened in the past, but why societies, ideas, cultures, and people evolved the way they did.
After more than 17 years in education, training, and leadership, I have come to believe that every student has a unique way of learning and a unique potential waiting to be discovered. My role as a teacher is to create the right environment, ask the right questions, and give students the confidence to think for themselves.
Teaching in a 100% online school makes this purpose even more exciting. Technology gives us the opportunity to move beyond textbooks and traditional classrooms—to explore history through stories, discussions, primary sources, visual experiences, debates, research, and connections with the world around us.
Ultimately, I teach to make learning matter. I want my students to leave my classroom not only knowing more, but thinking better, questioning deeper, understanding different perspectives, and becoming more thoughtful and responsible individuals.
