About Amandeep
With 18 years of experience across IB, IGCSE, and CBSE, I am a passionate Mathematics educator committed to making learning meaningful, engaging and learner-centred. A Ph.D. in Education, M.Phil. in Mathematics, M.Ed., and UGC NET qualified, I strive to bring research-informed innovation into the teaching and learning of Mathematics.
I have been in the teaching profession for the past 18 years, with extensive experience across diverse educational curricula, including IB, IGCSE, and CBSE. My academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Education, M.Phil. in Mathematics, M.Ed. and UGC NET qualification.Being married to a Fighter Pilot in the Indian Air Force has provided me with the unique opportunity to teach learners across different parts of the country and work within varied educational environments. This journey has enriched my understanding of diverse learner profiles, pedagogical practices and curriculum frameworks.
Throughout my teaching career, I have continuously focused on professional growth and lifelong learning. Pursuing my Ph.D. in Education, with research focused on the Teaching of Mathematics, enabled me to deepen my understanding of effective mathematics pedagogy and explore ways to make mathematics learning more meaningful, engaging and learner-centred.I aspire to translate the insights gained through my research into classroom practices and contribute towards bringing about meaningful and sustainable changes in the teaching and learning of Mathematics. I believe that education is a continuous journey of learning, reflection and innovation, and I hope to use my experience and research to create a positive and lasting impact on learners and educators alike.
For me, teaching was never just about completing a syllabus or helping learners score well in assessments. It has always been about creating that moment when a learner suddenly says, “Oh, now I understand!” That moment is what continues to inspire me even after 18 years in the profession.
My journey as a teacher has taken me across different parts of the country and exposed me to diverse learners, schools and curricula, including IB, IGCSE, and CBSE. Every new place brought a new classroom, new learners and new opportunities to learn. I gradually realised that while the curriculum may change, the curiosity of a learner remains universal.
Mathematics, in particular, has always fascinated me because it is much more than numbers and formulae. It teaches us to question, reason, persevere, look at problems from different perspectives and find patterns where others may see chaos. My doctoral research in the Teaching of Mathematics further strengthened my belief that mathematics can become a powerful tool for developing confident, independent and thoughtful learners when it is taught with purpose and imagination.
Today, after 18 years of teaching, I continue to see myself as a learner first and a teacher second. Every learner teaches me something new. My aim is not simply to teach mathematics but to help learners discover that they are capable of thinking, questioning, creating and solving.
I teach because every learner has the potential to surprise themselves and I want to be there when they discover it.

Amandeep’s Philosophy
I believe Mathematics is not merely a subject of numbers, formulae, and procedures; it is a way of thinking, questioning, reasoning and solving problems. Every learner has the potential to understand Mathematics when given the right environment, opportunities and encouragement. My philosophy is to make Mathematics meaningful, engaging and learner-centred by connecting concepts with real-life contexts and encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration and perseverance. As an educator and researcher in the Teaching of Mathematics, I strive to continually reflect, innovate and translate research-informed practices into meaningful classroom experiences that help learners become confident and independent mathematical thinkers.
