About Neera
I am a CTET-qualified Social Science educator with 10+ years of CBSE teaching experience across Grades 6–10. As a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, I blend concept-based, student-centred teaching with engaging digital learning to help learners build clarity, confidence, and achieve exam success.
I am a passionate and experienced educator with over 10 years of teaching experience across primary and middle-school education, with a strong focus on Social Science for Grades 6–10 in the CBSE curriculum. My teaching journey began with the early years, where I developed a strong foundation in nurturing young learners, and gradually evolved into teaching English, Hindi, Social Studies, and eventually History, Civics, Geography, and Economics at the middle and secondary levels.
Over the years, I have taught and mentored more than 600 learners in diverse classroom settings. My teaching approach has evolved from traditional classroom teaching to a concept-driven, student-centric methodology that encourages learners to understand, connect, question, and apply rather than simply memorise. At Navrachana Higher Secondary School, I taught History, Civics and Geography to students across Grades 6–10 and contributed to an 18–25% improvement in average Social Science performance through concept-based learning. At The Orbis School, I taught over 350 students, consistently achieving a 90%+ class pass rate while introducing activity-based learning and regular doubt-clearing and examination-preparation sessions.
My teaching journey has also embraced the changing landscape of education. I have extensive experience in online and hybrid teaching, conducting live lessons through platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom, while creating digital presentations, notes, worksheets and interactive learning experiences. As a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, I continue to explore and integrate modern EdTech tools to make learning more engaging and accessible.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy is the belief that every learner can succeed when concepts are explained with clarity, learning is made meaningful, and students are given the confidence to participate and think independently. My experience in mentoring academically struggling learners, designing CBSE-aligned lessons, planning assessments and tracking learning outcomes reflects my commitment not only to academic achievement but also to building confident, curious and independent learners.
I teach because I believe that education has the power to change the way a child sees the world. For me, teaching is about helping learners discover the confidence to ask questions, think independently, and make meaningful connections with what they learn.
Social Science gives me a wonderful opportunity to connect the classroom with real life. I enjoy turning concepts into stories, questions, discussions and experiences that make learners curious and encourage them to look at the world with a deeper understanding.

Neera’s Philosophy
What gives me the greatest satisfaction is seeing a learner who once struggled begin to understand a concept, participate confidently, and believe, “I can do this.”
