For me, Mathematics is much more than numbers, formulas and finding the “right” answer—it is about being curious, asking questions, making connections and having the courage to try again. With 7 years of experience in education, I have enjoyed growing alongside my learners and discovering new ways to make Mathematics meaningful, engaging and relevant to the world around them. As a Middle School Mathematics Facilitator, I embrace the Cambridge approach by creating opportunities for learners to think independently, solve problems creatively, reflect on their learning and take ownership of their growth. Whether through inquiry, real-life challenges, collaborative activities or digital learning, I believe every learner has the potential to become a confident mathematician. My greatest joy is seeing that moment when a learner says, “Oh, now I get it!”—because that is when learning truly comes alive.

I didn’t choose Mathematics because I always loved numbers. In fact, as a child, Mathematics was a struggle for me. It was only when I began to understand the concepts, see how they connected to real life, and receive appreciation for my efforts that I slowly developed a love for the subject. A wonderful teacher made Mathematics interesting for me and became one of my role models, inspiring me to explore the subject more deeply.

I also loved my school years so much that, in a way, becoming a facilitator feels like I get to remain in that beautiful phase of life—learning, exploring, enjoying and growing alongside children. Perhaps that is why I enjoy my learners, my school and the journey of learning so much. Today, I hope to be that same spark for my learners: helping them discover that Mathematics can be understood, enjoyed and even loved.
