Affiliation, Recognition and Qualifications
21K School is a K–12 online school providing structured, year-round education for learners aged 3 to 18 in India and internationally.

Each learner joins an age- and grade-appropriate programme within an Indian or British curriculum pathway. The school’s educational programme includes live teaching, curriculum delivery, academic assessment, feedback, progress reporting, learning support, wellbeing, safeguarding, enrichment and regular parent-school engagement.
Our role is to guide each learner through a complete school journey—from the early years through Senior School—while helping families choose the curriculum pathway, subject combination and progression route that best serves the child.
Where a pathway includes an external qualification, 21K School prepares and supports learners for the relevant examinations. The awarding body independently sets the examination requirements, conducts or oversees the final assessment, and issues the official qualification results and certificates.

NIOS

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Through its Open Schooling System, NIOS offers Secondary and Senior Secondary education for learners who meet its applicable admission requirements.
21K School provides a structured, year-round Senior School experience for learners who choose the NIOS pathway. This includes live teaching, curriculum delivery, ongoing academic assessment, feedback, Board preparation, learner support, subject-selection guidance, wellbeing support and parent engagement.
For this pathway, learners are registered individually with NIOS as private candidates, in accordance with the applicable NIOS admission stream and regulations. The learner’s NIOS registration, subject selection and examination eligibility are therefore determined by NIOS and are personal to that learner.
NIOS examinations and qualifications
NIOS independently sets the applicable examination requirements, conducts and evaluates its Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations, and issues the official marksheets, certificates and other applicable documents under its regulations.
21K School teaches the programme, assesses learning throughout the academic year, provides academic and examination support, and helps families navigate the NIOS process. Learners complete NIOS Board examinations at designated physical examination centres, in accordance with current NIOS requirements.
This is an individual learner-registration pathway, rather than a school-affiliation arrangement with NIOS. Families should refer to NIOS for current subject, practical, registration, examination and certification requirements.
Examination centres
Regular school learning and most internal assessments take place online. Board-level examinations for NIOS Grade 10 and Grade 12, Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level, and Pearson Edexcel International A Level take place physically at approved examination venues.
21K School supports families with registration and examination-centre coordination, subject to the current arrangements and approval of the relevant awarding body.
Documents learners receive
Alongside 21K School’s academic records, including progress reports and school-based assessment records, learners receive official external qualification documents where applicable. Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel or NIOS issues the final examination results, marksheets, certificates and other applicable documents under its own rules.
Parents should check the pathway-specific requirements for marksheets, certificates, migration documents and any destination-university documentation.
Recognition in India and abroad
Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and NIOS qualifications are used for progression in India and internationally. Admission remains subject to the receiving school, university, regulator or professional body’s own rules.
Families planning a specific degree, country or competitive route should confirm subject prerequisites and equivalence early. Senior-school counselling helps learners make informed choices, but the final admission decision belongs to the receiving institution.
Choosing the right pathway
Recognition is only one part of the decision. Parents should also consider the learner’s previous curriculum, preferred subjects, assessment style, future location, university plans and need for flexibility.
A pathway that is widely recognised may still be the wrong fit if its subjects or structure do not support the learner’s intended destination.
How to verify current status
Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel centre status can be checked through their official channels. For the NIOS pathway, families should refer to NIOS for current admission, learner-registration, subject, examination and certification requirements.
Board policies can change, so pathway-specific admissions guidance should be confirmed before enrolment.
