About Richa
Educator | IB PYP | STEM & Mathematics | Passionate about nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confident, lifelong learners.
I am an experienced educator with 10+ years of teaching experience across IB PYP, Cambridge, and CBSE curricula, with a strong academic foundation in Electrical Engineering and a passion for STEM education. My journey has taken me through Mathematics, Science, Grade 5 Homeroom, and inquiry-based interdisciplinary learning, allowing me to support students in making meaningful connections between concepts and the world around them.
As an IB PYP educator, I value inquiry, conceptual understanding, student agency, and authentic learning experiences. I enjoy designing engaging Units of Inquiry, integrating Mathematics and Science with real-world contexts, and creating opportunities for students to think critically, collaborate, communicate, and take meaningful action. My interest in STEM and Makerspace learning further enables me to bring creativity, problem-solving, experimentation, and design thinking into the classroom.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have remained committed to continuous professional growth, reflective practice, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to question, explore, make connections, and take ownership of their learning.
I believe teaching is not about simply giving students answers—it is about creating the right environment for them to discover their own questions.
Over the years, I have found that some of the most meaningful classroom moments happen when a student suddenly connects an idea to something they have experienced in everyday life. That spark of curiosity—the moment a “Why?” becomes a “Let me find out”—is what continues to inspire me as an educator.
My journey across Mathematics, Science, IB PYP, Cambridge, and STEM education has taught me that every student brings a different way of thinking, questioning, and making sense of the world. As an educator, I see my role as a facilitator who creates opportunities for students to inquire, experiment, make mistakes, reflect, and take action.
I teach because I want students to leave my classroom with more than knowledge. I want them to leave with curiosity, confidence, critical-thinking skills, and the belief that they are capable of finding solutions to the problems around them.
