About Gayathri
Gayathri is an enthusiastic educator with two years of experience as a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher. With a background in English and a creative approach to Mathematics, she makes learning engaging, meaningful, and full of those wonderful “Aha!” moments.
Gayathri’s journey as an educator has been shaped by curiosity, creativity, and a genuine love for helping children discover their own potential. With a background in English education and two years of experience as a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher, she has had the opportunity to work closely with young learners and understand that teaching is about far more than delivering lessons—it is about building confidence, nurturing independence, and creating a space where children feel comfortable to question, explore, and make mistakes. Her journey at 21K School took an unexpected but exciting turn when she stepped into the world of Mathematics, embracing the challenge with an open mind and a willingness to learn alongside her learners. As a Math Mastery Facilitator, she has been involved not only in teaching but also in creating and developing lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, projects, and learning experiences that make mathematical concepts relatable and engaging. Her experience in a virtual learning environment has further encouraged her to think creatively about how to keep learners curious and actively involved, using games, real-life connections, hands-on activities, and meaningful conversations. Gayathri believes that every learner has their own pace, strengths, and way of making sense of the world, and her role as a teacher is to help them recognise and build on those strengths. For her, the most rewarding moments are often the simplest ones—a learner asking a thoughtful question, attempting something they once found difficult, or proudly saying, “I did it!” She continues to see teaching as a journey of constant learning, reflection, and growth, where every classroom brings a new opportunity to learn, adapt, and make a difference.
Becoming a teacher was, in many ways, a wonderful accident. Teaching was never part of my original career plan, but somewhere along the way, I found myself in a classroom and discovered that I had found something I genuinely loved. My first two years as a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher taught me that teaching is not just about lessons and learning outcomes; it is about the little moments that stay with you, a child gaining confidence, asking a question, trying again after a mistake, or proudly saying, “I did it!” My journey later took an unexpected turn into Mathematics at 21K School, and I found myself discovering the joy of making Maths creative, relatable, and fun. Today, I see teaching as one of the happiest accidents of my life: a journey that continues to surprise me, challenge me, and teach me just as much as I teach my learners.

Gayathri’s Philosophy
Every child can learn when given the right encouragement, time, and space to explore.
Learning should be joyful, meaningful, and connected to the real world.
Mistakes are not failures, they are stepping stones to understanding.
A teacher’s role is not just to teach, but to inspire curiosity and confidence.
When learners believe “I can,” meaningful learning begins.
