Why ×9.5? CBSE analysed A1-grade students (91–100) and found the average to be 95 marks. Since A1's grade point is 10, 95 ÷ 10 = 9.5 — the official multiplier to convert CGPA to percentage.

CBSE does not officially declare a percentage on your marksheet.
Best-of-5 is the standard rule used by most colleges.
Some colleges use Best-of-4 for admissions (Delhi University).
Skill/vocational subjects can replace lower-scoring main subjects.
