Languages Beyond the Limits of One Campus

Thirteen live online language choices extend what learners at 21K School, Puducherry can explore alongside their full on-campus education.

A wider language choice, delivered online

A physical school can offer only a limited number of languages within its regular timetable. Through 21K Learning FLOWW, eligible Puducherry learners can access a wider online portfolio led by language facilitators from the broader 21K ecosystem.

All 13 programmes described on this page are online-only. They do not replace English or any language included within the learner’s campus curriculum (for example, Tamil is the second language). Families can consider them when a learner wants to connect with a home language, begin a new language, strengthen literacy or communicate across cultures.

Thirteen languages

The portfolio includes eight Indian Languages and five International Languages:

  • Indian languages

Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

  • International languages

Arabic, ESOL, French, Japanese and Spanish.

ESOL develops general English proficiency. IELTS Preparation is a separate programme within Mastery for eligible older learners and should not be presented as part of the 13-language portfolio.

What learners develop

Each pathway develops Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, supported by vocabulary, grammar and cultural understanding. Beginners build pronunciation, familiar vocabulary, everyday exchanges and early literacy. Learners with previous exposure work towards richer comprehension, more accurate expression and greater independence.

Live classes can include conversation, storytelling, role play, audio, reading, writing, presentations, projects and culturally relevant material. Digital resources support revision and practice beyond the live session.

How it connects with campus learning

The learner remains part of a full-time physical school. Core academics, relationships, sport, arts, laboratories, clubs and everyday school life continue on campus. The online language programme adds choice and specialist access beyond what one timetable and location could ordinarily provide.

A learner’s grade, previous exposure, proficiency, timetable and the availability of a suitable cohort determine the right starting point. Participation may take place from home or through a school-scheduled arrangement, depending on the confirmed programme model.
