My journey into teaching was shaped by my experiences in research at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) - ISRO, and later at Centre for Water Resource Development and Management (CWRDM). Working in research initially exposed me to the process of asking meaningful questions, analysing evidence and understanding how scientific knowledge can be applied to real-world challenges.

Over time, I realised that my passion was not only in discovering knowledge, but also in sharing it and helping others discover it for themselves. Research gradually became the foundation for my approach to teaching—encouraging curiosity, inquiry, critical thinking and connections with the world beyond the classroom.

For me, teaching is therefore a natural extension of my research journey: to inspire students to question, explore and understand rather than simply learn by rote.
