Student Spotlight

Vaidic Mukherjee (2210020646), Grade 2 received an invitation and participation along with his winning a prize in a very special event known as Astro Night Sky Tourism. This event was a Unique initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. 'Astro Night Sky Tourism: A Sky Gazing Event' was organized in Delhi at India Gate from 6th to 8th January 2023 to promote Astro tourism & create awareness of astronomy & science among people. It was organised by the National Science Centre, New Delhi, Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Nehru Planetarium and Space India, New Delhi.

Vaidic got the opportunity to see different planets, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Saturn, and Moon in the sky on the different telescopes at the venue. He got the opportunity to participate in the event 'Astro Quiz for Kids' in which he was declared one of the winners among a few. He received a special prize on that occasion. It was a book about weird and wonderful animals on this planet. As Vaidic is a space enthusiast and passionate about researching on planets, he was very happy to get connected with some scientists, and senior engineers in the field of space and astronomy. He proudly introduced himself as a student of Grade 2 in 21K School.
